The Civil Air Patrol (CAP) continues its annual tradition of partnering with Wreaths Across America to pay homage to over 200,000 veterans and family members interred at Long Island National Cemetery (LINC). CAP’s Long Island Senior Squadron (LISS) Volunteers participated in the Wreaths Across America wreath laying at LINC on Saturday, December 14. Last year, more than three million wreaths were laid through Wreaths Across America nationally at over 4,000 locations. LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP), the manager and developer of the new Terminal B, launched a new Holiday Pop-Up shopping experience in the terminal’s two skybridges. The Holiday Pop-Ups features a rotating lineup of talented small local business vendors, allowing guests to pick up unique NYC-made finds. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey hosted a simulated run-through of the airport experience at Newark Liberty International Airport this past weekend, aimed at assisting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), including autism, and their families in navigating the air travel process.
