The 4th annual Airport Community Golf Classic (ACGC) was a truly outstanding event, held at The Seawane Club in Hewlett Harbor and Inwood Country Club in Inwood, NY.
On a picture-perfect summer day, the event brought together 46 airport sponsors and 243 golfers for a full day on the two courses, followed by an evening of cocktails, great food, and airport networking.
The Airport Community Foundation (ACF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing local communities surrounding metropolitan New York airports. The foundation focuses on programs that promote aviation and airport workforce development, education and training, and local quality-of-life initiatives.
Since 2023, the ACF Golf Classic (ACFGC) has proven itself as one of the premier airport events, raising funds for the airport community. The proceeds benefit those in need in our area by providing scholarships for local students and promoting aviation and the airport as excellent places to have a career.

At this year’s ACFGC, Angelina Gomez was awarded a $2,500 scholarship by the ACF Foundation. Angelina is a 2026 National Honor Society graduate at Amityville High School and a standout Aircraft Maintenance Technology (AMT) honor student at Western Suffolk BOCES/ Wilson Tech at Republic Airport in Farmingdale, New York. She is also a recent graduate of Western Suffolk’s ADT (Aircraft Drone Tech) Program.
At the conclusion of the Airport Community Foundation’s 2026 Golf Classic, Diana Santiago, Executive Director of Western Suffolk BOCES – CTE Wilson Technological Center, presented the scholarship check to Angelina to help advance her promising career in aviation maintenance.
