The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport has successfully concluded a historic $2.55 billion Green Bond issuance, the largest ever municipal bond financing for an airport project. Proceeds from the 2024 Series bonds will be primarily used to finance and refinance a portion of the costs of constructing the initial phase of the New Terminal One development, a portion of which was initially funded with the bank facility that was raised in June 2022. Kennedy International Airport has announced a partnership with SAS, enabling the Scandinavian airline to operate from the new world-class international terminal scheduled to open in 2026. SAS is the eighth airline to commit to operating at The New Terminal One, an all-international terminal that will transform the global gateway to New York and the United States. JFK Millennium Partners (JMP), the company selected by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey to build and operate John F. Kennedy International Airport’s new state-of-the-art Terminal 6, and award-winning, Hong Kong-based carrier Cathay Pacific, have announced an agreement for the airline to operate from Terminal 6 when the first five gates open to passengers in early 2026.
