American Airlines Group announced the appointment of Anthony (Tony) J. Richmond as Executive Vice President, Corporate Affairs, and Chief Legal Officer, effective May 5. Alstom, a global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has signed a contract extension with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey (PANYNJ) to provide operations and maintenance services for JFK International Airport’s AirTrain for the next seven years. The contract extension is valued at approximately $518 million and includes an option for three additional years. The JFK AirTrain is a crucial part of reducing traffic congestion around the airport. The greater York College community celebrated the JFKR Aviation and Aeronautics Academy (aka JFKR AAA) graduation on March 22, 2025, with lots of exuberance and reflection on the K1-12 students’ endeavors in various STEM-related topics. It was a fun-filled spring day with 350 students and over 150 parents, caregivers, and well-wishers joining the graduates in feeling proud of their achievements. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today announced the opening of a second sensory room at Newark Liberty International Airport’s award-winning Terminal A, completing a nation-leading, seamless travel experience from curb to gate for neurodivergent travelers and travelers on the autism spectrum. JFK Millennium Partners (JMP) today announced a partnership with K2 Security Screening Group (K2 SSG) to procure, install and deploy a state-of-the-art security screening checkpoint at the future 10-gate terminal. The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey and Revel today announced the opening of an electric vehicle (EV) charging station at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) that more than doubles the airport’s available EV chargers. The 24 new chargers were funded and installed by Revel and Con Edison through its PowerReady program for electric vehicle infrastructure incentives helped.
