Blade Air Mobility, Inc., and Skyports Infrastructure (“Skyports”), a leading provider of ground infrastructure for advanced air mobility, announced an alliance today to launch a pilot program that will expand Blade’s existing by-the-seat helicopter transfer service, connecting the Downtown Manhattan Heliport and John F. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today announced that for the second consecutive year, LaGuardia Airport was named North America’s best airport in its class based on the highest passenger satisfaction rating that the airport has ever received. The top marks, which were released Monday, came from passengers who reviewed the airport for overall satisfaction for the highly regarded Airport ServiceQuality (ASQ) survey in 2024, amounting to a continued, dramatic reversal of fortunes for the once-reviled airport. Empire State Development (ESD) and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today announced the launch of New York state’s Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE) Fund. The $50 million state fund provides support to certified-ACDBE businesses seeking concession opportunities at the Port Authority’s New York City airports. Two initial loans have already been approved for local small businesses by the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation (GJDC) and the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone, two of the participating lenders in the state program. March is a wonderful month to reset after a long, cold winter as we prepare for the upcoming renewal of the Spring season. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 5, today announced a major refresh of the airline’s flagship terminal.
