The JFK Redevelopment Aviation and Aeronautics Academy (JFKRAAA) celebrated 375 students in a jam-packed graduation ceremony held in the college gymnasium on March 21, 2026. K1–12 student participants from the Spring 2026 (8th) cohort showcased over 100 thoughtfully constructed projects and creative artwork on aviation-related topics for attending parents, caregivers, and guests. As in previous sessions, the Spring 2026 program primarily served students from the greater York community while also welcoming participants from surrounding areas near York College. The New Terminal One at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) today announced a strategic partnership with Ethiopian Airlines, the flag carrier of Ethiopia and a member of Star Alliance. Ethiopian will join the New Terminal One’s growing community of international carriers, strengthening connectivity between the United States, Africa, and key destinations across the globe. Ethiopian Airlines currently operates from JFK’s Terminal 7 and will transition its New York operations to the New Terminal One when it opens in 2026. Chyanne Caro has been promoted to Canine Import Supervisor, reporting directly to Kiera Mejia, Director of Sales and Marketing. Chyanne joined The ARK at JFK as an animal handler and progressed through the pet shipping department, first as a pet travel coordinator; she has since undertaken additional responsibilities with a specific focus on importing dogs from high-risk rabies countries. She supervises a team of three pet travel managers.
