The JFK Airport Rotary Club held its annual Ladies Golf and Spa event at the beautiful Brookville Country Club. It was a dreary start to the day weather-wise, but that couldn’t stop all the smiling faces that were there to enjoy the day regardless of a bit of rain.
The ladies hit the links as the weather cleared up or settled in for some pampering. Both of the event programs delivered a much-needed day away from the office. and the airport, for the ladies.
The event honored Susana Desa from JFKIAT for her contributions to the airport community and beyond. Susana’s chosen charity to benefit from the event’s proceeds was the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS). A moving program given by the LLS Woman of the Year, Laura Maier, showing how cancer can hit home really fast and how the necessary help will be there if you need it, due in part from the generous donations made available by organizations like the JFK Airport Rotary Club.
As expected, the JFK Rotary Club delivered a fun event and made a difference to so many through the generous participation of its members and event attendees.
