Alan J. Dietl Passes

Alan Dietl, a friend to the JFK Airport Community, passed away on January 19th

Alan Dietl

Alan was born in Ozone Park, Queens on January 11, 1949. Alan was one of four children: Frank Jr, Carol and Richard “Bo” Dietl born to Frank and Sally Dietl (nee Timpanaro). A lifelong New Yorker, Alan graduated from Richmond Hill High School in 1967 and attended St. John’s University. Alan married Jayne Dietl and raised his family in Baldwin and Northport, Long Island. Alan went on to work for the NY Telephone Company and after started and ran a successful vending machine business operating in the local airports. 

Alan was a devoted father to Heidi and Heather and a loving grandfather to Patrick, Angelina, Bianca, Chase and Frankie. Alan enjoyed many hobbies. He was a historian on War History and was a skilled skier and boater. He loved most of all to travel and spend time with his family and friends.
