FedEx introduced sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at two more U.S. airports towards the end of last year: Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). With these two additional deployments, FedEx began using blended SAF at a total of five major U.S. airports in 2025. Kennedy International Airport’s (JFK) Terminal 8, part of a new partnership agreement to bring the renowned Italian marketplace and retail concept to airports across North America. The New Terminal One at JFK has announced a new Request for Proposals (RFP) to secure a provider for aircraft de-icing and de-icing fluid recovery services. Qualified service providers are invited to submit proposals to support safe and efficient winter operations at New Terminal One. The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has announced the start of the next major phase of construction on the new AirTrain Newark system, with work beginning on the guideway and track structure between the Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station and the P4 station. This phase of construction will require ongoing weekday service outages between the P4 station and the Airport Train Station that links to Northeast Corridor (NEC) services for NJ TRANSIT and Amtrak.
