TSA Airport Screening

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced today that a new labor framework will be implemented starting Jan. 11, 2026, rescinding the 2024 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) and other determinations. The new framework will return the agency back into a security-focused framework that prioritizes workforce readiness, resource allocation and mission focus with an effective stewardship of taxpayer dollars. Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste, S.A.B. de C.V. (ASUR) announced that ASUR’s subsidiary ASUR US Commercial Airports, LLC has completed the acquisition of URW Airports, LLC, the retail developer and operator of terminals at John F. Kennedy International Airport, Los Angeles International Airport, and Chicago O’Hare International Airport, for an enterprise value of $295 million U.S. Dollars. Aviation High School Check Presentation 2025

The Airport Community Foundation (ACF) presented a $5,000 check to the Aviation High School Education Foundation (AHSEF) on Thursday during the school’s celebration of its 25th anniversary of the Annex at JFK Airport, building 141. The donation funds were raised through the ACF Golf Classic and will support scholarships for Aviation High School students interested in pursuing careers in the airport and aviation industries. The AHSEF Board of Directors comprises graduates from Aviation High School who are now working aviation professionals dedicated to actively promoting Aviation High School and showcasing AHSEF as an essential and vibrant partner of the school.
