The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, American Airlines and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield today announced 24 additional duty-free and food hall brands arriving at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s (JFK) Terminal 8 as part of the terminal’s expansion, which includes a $125 million commercial redevelopment program. American Airlines Group Inc. announced that Nathaniel (Nat) Pieper has been named Chief Commercial Officer. Pieper, currently CEO of the oneworld alliance, will assume his new role effective Nov. 3. The New Terminal One at New York John F. Kennedy International Airport today announced a new strategic partnership with China Eastern Airlines, a member of the SkyTeam alliance. Headquartered in Shanghai, China Eastern will join the rapidly growing community of international airlines that have selected the New Terminal One as their partner to deliver a world-class guest experience at JFK, the largest aviation gateway into the United States. Cathay Cargo has become the first airline to introduce real-time customs clearance updates to customers subscribed to the EzyCargo platform, or those who already have ONE Record API links to the airline’s system, bringing greater visibility and efficiency to the air-cargo shipment journey. The important new development is based on the IATA ONE Record data protocol, and adds customs authorities as an additional air cargo stakeholder into Cathay Cargo’s real-time communications with customers.
