Welcome to the November issue of Metropolitan Airport News. We are officially in the Holiday Season, which means increased passenger traffic and weather events, which equals stress, for sure. As an airport community, we plan, prepare, and test year-round for this critical season in the Northeast. There will be hiccups for sure; however, practice makes perfect, and we aim to make it look flawless to the traveling public.
All of that strategic planning carries over from Operations to Hospitality, the topic of this month’s issue. Yes, we need to move people and cargo safely and efficiently from point A to point B, but we want the customer experience to be top-notch. It can be a difficult time for so many; the amenities available to travelers are designed to make them feel immersed in the local landscape and to help them actually enjoy the ride. Many airports around the world have done such an incredible job that their air terminals have become destinations in their own right. Two hours early? Why not arrive four hours early and enjoy all that has been curated for you? Art, dining, retail, and entertainment – it’s all there.
At Metropolitan Airport News, we have been bringing you the positive angle of all things airport and aviation for almost 10 years. We aim to share with you all the great things going on in the airport community, highlight exciting opportunities for business and personal growth, inform you with interesting historical features, and entertain you with dynamic stories from around the world. The contributors to each issue bring decades of experience and are delighted to share their industry insights with you. We hope you are enjoying the content we deliver each month and that you feel the positivity we intend to convey. We welcome your feedback at www.metroairportnews.com/contact
