On November 29th Skanska USA celebrated the opening of the first new gates at LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B Eastern Concourse as part of an $8 billion transformation of LaGuardia into a unified, 21st-century airport. The new, 250,000 square-foot light-filled Eastern Concourse in Terminal B opened to the public on December 1, marking the largest milestone to date in the airport’s historic transformation. The concourse will house a total of 18 gates with modern customer amenities, state-of-the-art architecture and more spacious gate areas. The store offers travelers a fresh and exciting concept featuring local products through partnerships with Made in Queens and Fresh Direct among others. Air Canada today unveiled its newest Maple Leaf Lounge at LaGuardia Airport in New York City. The new lounge, conveniently located after security near Air Canada’s gates, is the first airline lounge to open in the new Terminal B Eastern Concourse. Today, American Airlines joined New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo; Rick Cotton, Executive Director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey; representatives from LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP) and LaGuardia Airport (LGA) team members to celebrate the unveiling of a new concourse at LGA’s Terminal B. Today in celebration of #GivingTuesday and JetBlue’s commitment to volunteerism and community service, the airline flew a plane full of do-gooders to “Destination Good,” the Dominican Republic. Winners of JetBlue’s #CheckInForGood contest were so committed to good, they agreed to join JetBlue on a volunteer trip during JetBlue For Good Month without knowing the destination.
