Ms Quagliata, who has been an aviation professional for 20 years, has held a series of varied and ever more senior roles throughout her career culminating in her most recent role as Vice President of Network for Alitalia.

“We are delighted to welcome Valentina to our rapidly expanding Air Italy team,” said Air Italy Chief Operating Officer Rossen Dimitrov. “Valentina brings with her many years of experience across route development, network planning, fleet development and corporate strategy, and she also has managed rapidly growing, dynamic and complex startups and joint businesses. All of this will be key in helping ensure Air Italy’s strategic development plan is fully optimized to deliver on our ambitious growth plans.”

An aeronautical engineering graduate from Roma La Sapienza, Ms Quagliata began her career in consulting before moving into aviation in 1999 initially as Head of Corporate Organisation for Alitalia.

Other roles during her career included Head of Network and Fleet Planning, Head of Schedule Planning and Head of Short- and Medium-Haul Network Planning and Management prior to her role as Vice President Network which she took over in 2017.

“Air Italy is expanding rapidly and has very ambitious growth plans, and from a network and strategy perspective, this is, therefore, a very exciting time to join the business,” said Ms Quagliata. “I’m very much looking forward to this new challenge and helping Air Italy achieve its growth objectives.”
