A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) explosives detection canine who works at LaGuardia airport is featured in the free downloadable TSA 2024 monthly calendar that features its explosives detection canines from across the country. Gini-Gina is a 6-year-old Belgian Malinois who works with her handler, Julie Guevara, at LaGuardia Airport. The Board of Commissioners of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today approved a lease supplement with JFK AP LLC, the operator of a truck parking, fueling, and concessions facility at John F. Kennedy International Airport that will triple the number of the facility’s truck parking spaces to accommodate the growth in cargo volume at the airport and help reduce the number of trucks parking on residential streets and airport roads. Modern Aviation broke ground on two new hangars in its most recent development project at Republic Airport (FRG) in Farmingdale, NY. A groundbreaking ceremony for the development project took place on the morning of November 15, 2023. The project encompasses the construction of two hangars on Modern Aviation’s Breslau parcel at Republic Airport, totaling over 81,000 SF, including 71,200 SF of hangar space and 10,100 SF of office space.
