Lifoam’s Envirocooler™ ActiVault™ Refrigerated Storage Systems Readily Available in U.S. to Protect COVID-19 Vaccines

As a leader in cold chain packaging solutions, Lifoam Industries, LLC (Lifoam), a business segment and subsidiary of LifeMade Products LLC (LifeMade), is pleased to announce its increased supply of the versatile Envirocooler ActiVault portable refrigerated storage system in response to demand for COVID-19 vaccine distribution.

Protecting temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical products requires reliable, specialized, and proven systems, and the portable, self-contained ActiVault™ storage units meet the stringent transportation specifications of COVID-19 vaccines and other pharmaceutical products with specific temperature requirements. The Envirocooler™ ActiVault™ is an active temperature-control system that many companies trust to maintain consistent temperature ranges for these payloads. Unlike passive systems which require refrigerant gels, the ActiVault™ is powered by AC, DC, or battery backup power. This helps reduce potential for human error in portable scenarios where consistent temperatures are critical.

The engine powering the ActiVault™ system provides reliable performance, holding temperatures steady at 4ºC and can hold up to 25 liters of payload. It features a locking lid for added security and the unit weighs only 33 pounds for easy, one person transport.

“Our ActiVault system is a flexible solution ideal for effectively managing the dynamics of transporting, storing, and administering the vaccines, COVID-19 or otherwise in a variety of settings,” said Mark Gettig, President of LifeMade. “Many labs, clinics, medical couriers, and pharmaceutical companies have relied on our ActiVault units to create a safe and maintainable temperature controlled system that can be trusted to meet their COVID-19 vaccine distribution procedures.”

Whether it’s vaccine deliveries going to remote locations or maintaining safe temperatures at mobile vaccination clinics, the Envirocooler™ ActiVault™ system provides consistent temperatures, even in the event of power outages. The units require less than 40 watts of power from AC or DC sources, meaning they can operate anywhere from a courier vehicle to pop-up vaccination events.

LifeMade and Lifoam of parent company Jadex Inc. continue to respond to the largest vaccine distribution event in modern history from its seven manufacturing facilities across the U.S. As a trusted partner for thermally controlled packaging for the healthcare industry, Lifoam is fighting COVID-19 by helping to safely deliver vaccines with a full suite of proven product solutions for active transport or passive shipping products.
