The #NorseCulturalExchange, in partnership with the Goethe-Institut New York, underscores the airline’s commitment to supporting cultural projects across the Atlantic by facilitating travel for artists between Berlin and New York.

Norse is supporting the institute with flights for artists traveling to New York from Berlin for cultural projects and events. Norse Atlantic operates up to four direct weekly flights between the two cities.

    Partnership projects include:

    • The Artist Talk series “Art & Weise”. Previous participants have included Raphaela Vogel, Tobias Zielony, John Miller, and Anna Ostoya.
    • The “Helen und Kurt Wolff Prize“. The formal award ceremony, which takes place in early October, brings together authors, translators, and representatives of the publishing industry.
    • Das “festival neue literatur“, a festival showcasing German-speaking authors from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
    • The German Film Office at the Goethe-Institut will be showcasing filmmakers and actors at various events across the USA.

“We are very pleased to be able to support these projects in partnership with New York Goethe-Institut by facilitating the sharing of cultural diversity and the works of these esteemed artists. We take pride in enabling more people to explore the world and experience other cultures firsthand thanks to our affordable fares, “ said Bjørn Tore Larsen, CEO and founder of Norse Atlantic Airways.

The Goethe-Institut, Germany’s global cultural institute, added: “We are delighted with this collaboration that will create a vibrant cultural exchange. Through cooperation with Norse Atlantic, we can further advance our mission to increase international cultural awareness, and we look forward to welcoming many artists to New York this summer,” says Jörg Schumacher, Director of the Goethe-Institut New York.
