The Semantics
Benevolence to Those Less Fortunate
Since 1970, The Semantics has been helping people in need. Founded by a group of businessmen from the JFK Airport community, this charitable organization has expanded its good works throughout the NY Metropolitan area. The Semantics has also assisted charities throughout the country and overseas. Membership is nationwide. The Semantics is a 501-(c)-3 tax-exempt organization.
The principal goal of the organization is “Benevolence To Those Less Fortunate.” Our membership includes principals, managers, and employees of customs brokers, freight forwarders, airline personnel, truckers, cargo container stations, US Customs & Border Protection employees, insurance agents, printers, industrial machinery and food suppliers, florists, lawyers, etc. We have raised tens of thousands of dollars annually for people in need.
Semantics operates all year round and relies solely on its volunteer members to accomplish its mission. There are no paid employees, which allows 100% of all profits derived from donations and fundraising efforts to go directly to those less fortunate.
The organization’s overall theme is to combine “Fun and Frolic with Benevolence.” A group of dedicated people have a great time together, making this theme a reality.
