JetBlue, in partnership with Atlas Air Worldwide, today transported more than 110 tons of much-needed supplies to Puerto Rico to aid in relief and recovery efforts. New York JFK Airport

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced a nearly $4 million federal grant for the Port Authority to reduce emissions at JFK, in partnership with JetBlue and the New York Power Authority. The Voluntary Airport Low Emissions from the Federal Aviation Administration grant will be used for the installation of 38 charging stations at Terminal 5 at John F. Kennedy International Airport. Nearly 140 Delta employee breast cancer survivors flew from Atlanta to Seattle on Monday to collectively celebrate their victories, share inspiring stories of courage, and raise money and awareness for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The survivors flew on “Breast Cancer One,” Delta’s pink ribbon-themed Boeing 767-400 aircraft that carries Delta’s annual message of support for BCRF’s mission to end breast cancer. Cuba is Still Safe for U.S. Travelers

On September 29, 2017, The U.S. State Department issued a Cuba Travel Warning as a result of some unidentified attacks against numerous U.S. Embassy employees. The alleged incidents appear to be isolated to specific residences and rooms occupied by individual employees of the U.S. Embassy. Both governments are working to uncover the mystery of these incidents and the U.S. Embassy in Havana remains open to serve U.S. Citizens. On Thursday, September 28 the office of career services hosted its fall career fair. More than 55 employers from airlines, airports, design and manufacturing firms and more gathered in the hangar to network with more than 300 Vaughn students. Construction of a new high-speed taxiway at John F. Kennedy International Airport as part of state-of-good-repair work on a key arrivals runway will help make operations at one of the nation’s busiest airports more efficient, reduce delays, and save travelers time, under a $215 million project approved today by the Port Authority’s Board of Commissioners. Alaska Air Cargo today began a new chapter in its business, introducing the first converted Boeing 737-700 cargo aircraft. The aircraft is the first of its kind in the world and was converted from an all-passenger to an all-freight aircraft.
