Delta Air Lines’ board of directors today announced Michael Huerta as its newest member, effective immediately.  Mr. Huerta recently completed a five-year term as Administrator of the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration. As head of the FAA, he was responsible for the safety and efficiency of civil aviation in the U.S. “Michael’s deep aviation and broader transportation industry experience will be a great asset to Delta,” said Frank Blake, Delta’s non-executive Chairman of the Board. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) set another screening record during the 2018 spring travel period, March 15 through April 15, with more than 72 million (72,137,639) passengers and nearly 45 million (44,698,036) checked bags screened nationwide. An arriving passenger at John F. Kennedy International Airport did not enjoy a ‘Happy Hour’ as U. S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized her illegal cocktail. On April 8, Ms. Stefisha Miller, a Jamaican citizen, arrived on a flight from Kingston, Jamaica. CBP officers inspected a duty-free box she was carrying that contained two Bailey’s bottles with a plastic bag inside of it. Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, has successfully transported some of the world’s best show jumping horses from Mexico City to Miami for the Longines Global Champions Tour.
