It’s never too early to start speaking with middle and high school aged kids about their interests and possible career aspirations. The event held at the Cradle of Aviation in Garden City was coordinated with LI Stem Hub and many other schools, companies and organizations from Long Island. Students and parents got to meet with representatives from hospitals, tech companies, utilities, airlines, schools, research companies and more. They were informed about different opportunities at every educational level.
Not every great paying job requires a 4- or 8-year degree. There is a continuum of opportunities for everyone right here in our own back yard. There are major investments being made on Long Island for the future of STEM based businesses. Students of today and tomorrow will benefit from those investments if they do some preparations now to get on track with the path that will lead them to a great paying job.
