JFK International Air Terminal LLC (JFKIAT), the operator of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport, has been recognized in Crain’s 2020 Best Places to Work in New York, making it the only aviation company featured on this year’s list.

As the operator of T4, JFKIAT oversees one of the most active air terminals in the New York area, serving 30 international and domestic airlines. Crain’s recognition of the company through the 2020 Best Places to Work ranking highlights JFKIAT’s commitment to its employees and its consistent, successful efforts to prioritize and invest in its workforce.

“We take pride in being named one of Crain’s best places to work in 2020,” said Roel Huinink, President and CEO of JFKIAT. “We have built a strong culture of unity within our company, and in the midst of a difficult and unpredictable year, that culture has been the backbone of our efforts to not only overcome the challenges we faced, but persevere and continue to support one another.”

JFKIAT’s team is full of innovative and forward-thinking individuals who have ongoing professional development in a supportive environment that welcomes all ideas. As the largest international air terminal within New York City. T4’s community reflects a broad landscape of backgrounds, experiences and walks of life that make it a great place to work. In addition to its enhanced benefits program, JFKIAT also provides employee recognition programs, and opportunities for professional development and advancement.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has continued to go above and beyond to take a holistic approach to the well-being of its community. As part of JFKIAT’s multifaceted strategy to combat the virus within T4 and keep its employees and customers safe, it also implemented a resilience training program and established an internal COVID-19 Resource Center to provide employees with access to mental health support and job referrals for families.

In a time where anything can happen and organizations are struggling, these companies have gone above and beyond to stay safe and a top place to work.
