Western Suffolk BOCES Republic Airport welcomes Lisa Romanowski as its new principal. With nearly two decades of experience in education, Ms. Romanowski offers a fresh perspective in her role. She has held various leadership positions and spent 16 years as a school counselor at Wilson Tech Dix Hills before stepping into administration. Her long-standing commitment to education has given her a deep understanding of the school’s evolving needs, and she is eager to continue shaping the academic experiences of students at Republic Airport.
Ms. Romanowski holds a School Administration Certificate from the College of Saint Rose in Albany and a Master of Science in School Counseling from Long Island University. She is recognized for being a collaborative team player and for fostering positive connections among students, staff, and the broader community. With a keen eye for detail and strong problem-solving skills, she has consistently enhanced student performance by developing data-driven strategies and working closely with teachers and administrators.
In her previous role at Wilson Tech, Ms. Romanowski managed all aspects of the school’s operations, including academic programs and student services, ensuring alignment with district goals and state standards. She is passionate about cultivating a positive school culture where both students and staff can thrive. Ms. Romanowski is dedicated to building a supportive environment that encourages success and innovation.
