Silent Arrow announced that the Air Force of a U.S. allied government in the Middle East has conducted the first overseas deployments of the Silent Arrow GD-2000 cargo delivery drone under a $1.5M operational evaluation contract. In preparation for the flight operation, 1,026 lbs. (465 kg) of an undisclosed cargo load was secured inside the 26 cubic foot fuselage of two GD-2000s, bringing the gross vehicle weight of each aircraft to 1,520 lbs. The Port Authority of New York & New Jersey has selected Inter-Con as the sole awardee of its mass-scale Uniformed Security Guard Services (USGS) Contract. Under the five-year USGS Contract, Inter-Con will be responsible for providing more than 1,000 security professionals at the John F. Elated Team USA athletes took off Thursday morning aboard a Delta charter flight from Los Angeles to connect them with their dreams of representing the United States at the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022. JFKIAT and airport chaplains held their annual champagne toast to the New Year on January 26th. The event was held virtually due to the recent surge of the Omicron variant. Attending Chaplains were Father Chris Piasta, Rabbi Ari Korenblit, and Pastor Romeo Dabee. Airport Chaplain Father Chris began the celebration with a welcome greeting, honoring how the community has worked together in confronting the past year’s many challenges. Today, LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP), the private entity managing and redeveloping LaGuardia Airport’s Terminal B, announced the opening of the second pedestrian skybridge, making LaGuardia the first airport in the world with dual skybridges. The skybridge will open to passengers on January 28th. Spanning 482 feet, the western skybridge is the final piece of the interior of the Terminal B facility to debut and is the last major construction milestone in the project.
