Newark Liberty International has welcomed a new cargo handling company as of August 1st. Choice Aviation Services is now providing services at EWR and IAD. With thirteen International Carriers on their client list, they are moving an average of more than 100 million kgs. per year.
The foundation of the company is a strategic partnership between Manny Casalinho and Thomas Vellia. Manny is a visionary and entrepreneur with a 30-year career in aviation and air cargo handling. Thomas the owner of TGT, is an equally matched entrepreneur, and an expert in logistics and transportation. The idea of creating Choice Aviation Services was to address a market need for investing in equipment, technology and people to offer a competitive “choice” in the market. The philosophy that Vellia instilled in TGT was for offering customized services for both EUV and LTL to match airlines specific needs. He invested in equipment, such as roller beds, reefers, lowboys to meet his customer requirements and as a result has been able to achieve stronger performance.
Manny and Thomas embarked on this new venture with the intention to be a quality provider, highly focused on customer delivery and a responsible business partner to the airports and the communities in which they serve.
