The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey announced the signing of a long-term ground lease agreement with Aeroterm to develop a state-of-the-art $145 million, 350,000-square-foot cargo facility on more than 26 acres at John K. Kennedy International Airport. The first new cargo facilities built at JFK in two decades, the Aeroterm project represents a significant step forward in the JFK Vision Plan outlined by Governor Andrew Cuomo. Delta customers traveling between the U.S. and U.K. this summer will be among the first to use Delta FlyReady, a new digital health credential solution that will help take the guesswork out of meeting health requirements during international travel. The tool will initially help manage testing requirements, but Delta will integrate vaccination credentials into Delta FlyReady later this summer – great news for customers looking to travel to Delta FlyReady-eligible destinations that require proof of vaccination for entry. Vaughn College announced it has partnered with JetBlue as part of the company’s University Gateway Program. Launched in 2007, the JetBlue University Gateway Program is currently the airline’s longest-running pathway program for aviation college students that attend Aviation Accreditation Board International (AABI)-accredited institutions. As a benefit of the program, Vaughn’s aircraft operations students can apply and interview for positions at JetBlue while completing their collegiate courses.
