L.J. is also a proud member of the JFK Rotary Club, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the President of the NYC Chapter of the LPGA. On June 23, 2022, IN-18 LLC is hosting a signature golf networking and matchmaker event, with attendees from various industries like Construction, Real Estate Development, Finance, and Law. This event aims to bring people together that could benefit one another on contract opportunities and for service providers to meet potential clients.
It is not a typical golf outing; it is formatted to help developers and general contractors connect and build a network with reputable Veterans and MWDBEs. CEO L.J. Finney says, “Our motto is, IN-18 holes of golf, you can learn all you need to know about a person. Business development through golf is our passion, which is exactly why our event was created for golfers at every level. We focus on access, inclusion, and most important, introductions.”
Understanding the importance of building an ecosystem of construction workers and entrepreneurs, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to a local nonprofit, Youth Construct. “By giving back, IN-18 gets to invest in the present and the future. Imagine if students were encouraged to pursue careers in construction while still in high school; they could be the business owners we support tomorrow,” says Finney.
“With all the construction projects in this area, I felt it was important to support the local Queens community, small businesses, and the next generation of Construction entrepreneurs.”
