LATAM Distinguished as the Most Punctual Airline Group in the World in 2021

The LATAM Airlines Group achieved first place worldwide in the “Mega Airlines” category of the 2021 punctuality ranking from the prestigious international consulting firm OAG.

This recognition is based on the accumulated monthly statistics provided by OAG, where it classifies the largest airlines in the world according to their punctuality indicators based on compliance with the OTP (on-time-performance) indicator. The list brings together the twenty largest airlines in the world (by number of scheduled flights) categorized as “Mega Airlines,” and ranks a final top 10.

“In a very difficult scenario with an increase in COVID-19 infections and in the middle of the high season, our efforts to take care of our passengers must be even greater. We are very grateful for this recognition, the fruit of everybody working in the LATAM Airlines Group, who will continue to ensure that each flight operates safely to take our customers to their destination on time,” said Paulo Miranda, Vice President of Clients of LATAM Airlines Group.

This recognition is in addition to the data provided by OAG and Cirium that highlight the group’s performance in punctuality in 2019 in the “Mega Airlines” and “Global Network” categories. It should be noted that these organizations did not measure performance during 2020.
