President Joe Biden signed an executive order in early December intended to improve basic government services such as renewing a passport, claiming Social Security benefits, filing taxes, and getting through airport security. The order directs 17 federal agencies to improve the customer experience in more than 30 areas including passport renewals and airport security screening and check-in. American Airlines Group Inc. announced the senior leadership team that will report to Robert Isom when he becomes CEO on March 31, 2022. United today became the largest airline to invest in zero-emission, hydrogen-electric engines for regional aircraft, the latest move toward achieving its goal to be 100% green by reducing its GHG emissions 100% by 2050, without relying on traditional carbon offsets. Through a new equity stake in ZeroAvia, a leading company focused on hydrogen-electric aviation solutions, United expects to buy up to 100 of the company’s new zero-emission, 100% hydrogen-electric engines (ZA2000-RJ). Governor Kathy Hochul today announced that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey has reached a revised agreement with The New Terminal One (NTO) – a consortium of financial sponsors – to build a 2.4 million square foot state-of-the-art new international terminal that will anchor the south side of John F. Kennedy International Airport. The $9.5 billion project will be built in phases and will create more than 10,000 jobs, becoming the fourth major terminal project announced by the Port Authority as part of a complete transformation of JFK into a world-class airport worthy of New York and the region. She has always had an interest in the women aviation pioneers that paved the way for so many. Her interest led her to research the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) from the WWII era. The award recognizes the museum’s commitment to empowering young girls to pursue STEM careers through educational programs.
