Produced by a team of aviation professionals and enthusiasts, our mission is to inform and update the more than 68,000 employees who work on the metropolitan New York airport properties, as well as the many others that provide goods and services in the surrounding communities.
The group worked very hard on planning and fundraising for three amazing service projects all delivered in one day. The first was a drop-off of items that the new mothers residing at the Saratoga Family Shelter were in desperate need of. Thank you to all who donated these items, they were very well received by the shelter and were immediately distributed to the new moms. New York Aviation Management Association (NYAMA) recently announced the addition of two new board members for 2022. Dr. Maxine Lubner is a Professor and Chair of the Management and formerly, Aviation, Departments at Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology, in Queens, New York. Previously, Dr. Lubner was appointed as Executive Director of the CUNY Aviation Institute at York College and as a faculty member at New York University’s Graduate School of Social Work. FedEx Corp. received its first five of an order of 500 electric Light Commercial Vehicles (eLCVs) from BrightDrop, the new electric delivery and logistics business from General Motors (GM). LaGuardia Gateway Partners (LGP) – the manager and developer of Terminal B – announced the opening of the second phase of the Western Concourse. The interior of the 218,000 square foot Western Concourse is now fully open, featuring soaring ceilings up to 55 feet high and flooding the space with natural light. After a nearly two-year absence during Covid, Singapore Airlines announces the return of its Airbus A380 Superjumbo aircraft to New York’s JFK Airport from 27 March 2022, operating to Frankfurt with continuing service to Singapore. Governor Kathy Hochul celebrated a key milestone in the Port Authority’s transformation of John F. Kennedy International Airport with the groundbreaking for a $1.5 billion privately financed expansion and modernization of Terminal 4.
