Air Italy has announced that Sergio Boscarol has been appointed as Chief Human Resources and Organization Officer for Air Italy with immediate effect. FedEx Corp. announced today that Don Colleran has been appointed president and chief executive officer of FedEx Express, effective March 16. Colleran has been with FedEx for almost 30 years, holding various executive level positions in several operating companies and international regions. Kennedy International Airport’s Terminal 4 announced it is the first airport terminal in the nation to offer Jetweels wheelchairs – non-metallic, lightweight and ergonomic seat-equipped wheelchairs – to improve the travel experience for passengers who need wheelchair assistance. A man from the Bronx was arrested at John F. Kennedy International Airport yesterday, March 7th, after the armed man tried to run past Transportation Security Administration officers when they declined to allow him past the security checkpoint. The incident began shortly after midnight in Terminal 4 when the man failed to present a valid ID when he claimed to be a new airport employee. Amazon is becoming a player in the logistics and shipping industry. That’s what analysts think about the recent expansion of Amazon Air to include 50 planes and several new regional hubs, including a $1.5 billion hub opening in northern Kentucky in 2021. According to Wolfe Research, the e-commerce giant is now handling its own shipping for 26 percent of online orders.
