Ferrovial Airports and Eve Air Mobility, a developer of electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, services and support, and urban air traffic management (Urban ATM) software, have agreed to partner to jointly develop the safe and reliable operation of vertiports and eVTOLs. Alstom, global leader in smart and sustainable mobility, has signed a contract with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and Newark Liberty International Airport to provide operations and maintenance services for its Innovia monorail system, known as AirTrain Newark, for the next 7 years, until January 2030. The contract is valued at approximately $273 million and includes an option for one additional year. American Airlines hired the first female American Airlines Cadet Academy graduates to join the mainline flight deck as first officers at the 2023 Women in Aviation International Conference.
