Long Island MacArthur Airport officially dedicated its $8.4 million, 12,000 SF Ground Transportation Center (GTC) following the completion of a Terminal Walkway, the final component of the project. Additionally, the airport announced $26 million in improvements to the Main Terminal Building and Mechanical Engineering and Plumbing (MEP) upgrades. Governor Kathy Hochul and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey today celebrated a key milestone in the Port Authority’s transformation of John F. Kennedy International Airport with the groundbreaking for the $4.2 billion project to develop a new Terminal 6. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers at Sacramento International Airport (SMF) detected 50 firearms in travelers’ carry-on luggage in 2022.
