Ameriflight, the nation’s largest Part 135 Cargo airline, announces a signed letter of intent to purchase 35 VTOL air cargo drones from Sabrewing Aircraft Company, Inc., a U.S. corporation designing and producing a new generation of regional cargo UAV that offers high-efficiency, all-weather operation with vertical landing and takeoff (VTOL) capabilities. The agreement is for the Rhaegal-A aircraft, also known as “Alpha,” the world’s best-in-class, highest fuel and maintenance efficiency cargo UAV on the market. LATAM Cargo closes Valentine’s Day season with positive numbers, increasing by 16% the transportation of flowers from Colombia and Ecuador, compared to the Valentine’s season in the previous year, exporting a total of 17,910 tons of this product. Air India, India’s leading airline group and part of the Tata Sons conglomerate, announced that it had signed letters of intent with Airbus and Boeing to acquire both widebody and single-aisle aircraft.The order comprises 40 Airbus A350s, 20 Boeing 787s, 10 Boeing 777-9s widebody aircraft, 210 Airbus A320/321 Neos, and 190 Boeing 737 MAX single-aisle aircraft. New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) welcomed the arrival of Condor Airlines (DE) inaugural flight #2016 from Frankfurt today. The flight was the first to be operated to the U.S. by the popular German leisure airline’s new Airbus A330neo aircraft, the first in what will become an exclusive, all-A330neo fleet operating on all of Condor’s long-haul flights by 2024.
